Lodging
On-site guesthouse at our Désarmes headquarters. Bunk-style rooms, shared bathrooms, generator power, filtered water.
Safety
Désarmes is in the Artibonite Valley — well outside Port-au-Prince. We avoid PAP overnight stays and use trusted ground transport directly to our compound.
On the ground
Every team is paired with a Haitian translator. Founder Rev. Joseph Odanis or Directrice Erla Joseph welcomes every team in person.
What to bring
Passport (6+ months validity), modest work clothes, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, prescription meds. Detailed packing list sent after acceptance.
